The BlackTrax New Product Launch at Prolight + Sound Guangzhou

On May 28th, during the vibrant Guangzhou International Professional Lighting and Sound Exhibition, the highly anticipated BlackTrax product launch event took place at the Guangzhou Huahui Showroom. The event was led by BlackTrax Global Sales Director Dekkar Densham and Product Manager Nicholas Lau.

Through expert technical analysis and intuitive product demonstrations, the event created a platform for state-of-the-art tracking technology exchange, bringing together industry partners from across the country.

At the start of the event, Dekkar emphasized that this launch aims to provide users with more efficient, more convenient, and more comprehensive solutions.

Nicholas Lau introduced BlackTrax as a high-speed tracking system with millimeter-level accuracy and powerful capability to track virtually any object. He explained BlackTrax’s working principles and key features by comparing rendered images from the WYSIWYG software with actual live footage.

Real-World Applications

Dekkar and Nicholas further illustrated BlackTrax’s value through a variety of real application cases, including the Carrie Underwood Tour, Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s The Red Shoes, the 2024 NBA All-Star Game (BTS segment), and The Qin Empire, the first progressive theatre production. These cases showcased the use of BT equipment in both static and dynamic lighting tracking, as well as LED screen visual interactions, validating BlackTrax’s adaptability and reliability across different scenarios.

Among the highlights was the debut of the BT-3C Server, which immediately attracted industry attention. Dekkar explained, “Considering the large scale of the Chinese market, BlackTrax specially launched the BT-3C server to meet the needs of Chinese users.”

Functionally, the BT-3C supports 16 sensors working simultaneously for precise intelligent tracking and can efficiently monitor up to 60 tracking points, ensuring comprehensive and accurate tracking.

Its tracking coverage is equally impressive, with a spatial range of up to 1,200 square meters, enabling stable and precise tracking even in large-scale performances and multifunctional venues, providing solid technical support for intelligent stage control.

Beacon Charging Station 2.0

The Beacon Charging Station 2.0, an important BlackTrax management device, can simultaneously monitor, manage, and program up to 10 Beacon 2.0 units. Equipped with a high-resolution LED screen, users can clearly and intuitively see parameters such as battery levels of each Beacon 2.0.

Beacon 2.0

The Beacon 2.0 supports up to 85 belt packs operating simultaneously and features an LED screen that displays custom names, battery levels, and other parameters in real time. It uses Type-C ports, fast charging technology, and quick-release Lemo connectors, greatly improving efficiency and stability when multiple devices operate together.

Flathead Stringers

The flathead stringers use a flat infrared light design and SMA connectors for stable signal transmission. The softer yet durable cables withstand frequent plugging and unplugging, further enhancing ease of use.

Demonstration

Dekkar and Nicholas wore BT Beacon 2.0 and Mini Beacons while moving around. The BT-3C server tracked their movements in real time, visually presenting four integrated BlackTrax functions to the audience.

Nicholas demonstrated the powerful trajectory prediction function through dynamic hand light movements, followed by the offset tracking function via parameter adjustments. Dekkar and Nicholas explained the patented zoning function by dividing the demo area into dynamic and static zones, vividly comparing their effects through left-right movements.

Immersive Audio and Camera Integration

The integration of BlackTrax with L-ISA brought immersive spatial audio to the event. Nicholas used a remote-controlled car to vividly demonstrate BlackTrax’s smooth, efficient tracking, with lights and sound following the car’s movement and audio adjusting with its speed.

In collaboration with CONVRG, the PTZ camera tracking feature amazed attendees with its high speed, precision, and stability, easily tracking multiple people for live video capture.

Looking ahead, BlackTrax will continue to push technological boundaries and offer innovative products to provide the global market with more efficient tracking solutions and high quality service support.
