WYSIWYG 2025: Cloud Licensing

Aside from no longer having to worry about misplacing or losing your dongle, a Cloud License makes it possible to use WYSIWYG on ARM-based Mac computers by running Windows 11 ARM64 Edition within the Parallels virtual environment. To use a Cloud License, you must first purchase it from the CAST Software Store. Detailed instructions for how to set it up will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the purchase, but below are the main steps to perform:

  1. Ensure that this license is assigned to you in the Customer Portal. (This happens automatically for the first Cloud License you purchase.) Please note that only one Cloud License may be assigned per user.
  2. Ensure that the device where you installed WYSIWYG 2025 is connected to the Internet.
  3. Double-click on the WYSIWYG 2025 icon on the desktop (not on the WYSIWYG 2025 Dongle icon).
  4. Sign in to the CAST Cloud License Manager app (which opens automatically) using your CAST Software Customer Portal credentials.
  5. Add your device to the License Manager. –> WYSIWYG will start.

Notes:

  • WYSIWYG will check in with the CAST Cloud Licensing Server at startup, and every few hours after startup while the software is running. If you go offline, you can still use WYSIWYG for up to 24 hours after the last successful check-in. More information regarding how the Cloud License operates may be found in the WYSIWYG 2025 Release Notes.
  • A minimum of 24 hours must elapse from WYSIWYG’s last successful check-in before the license can be moved to another device.
