USING WYSIWYG ON APPLE MAC SYSTEMS
When using WYSIWYG with a Cloud License – and only with a Cloud License – WYSIWYG may be run on Mac systems within a Microsoft Windows 11 ARM-64 Edition virtual machine that’s set up in Parallels. (Dongles are not supported in virtual environments. There is no MacOS version of WYSIWYG at this time.)

Any new computer purchased in 2024 or later will be sufficient for WYSIWYG Core.
WYSIWYG DESIGN, PERFORM LITE AND PEFORM
Introduction
Hardware requirements for these products are slightly more complex and thus they are separated according to the level of functionality that you may wish to achieve (Minimum, Optimal or High Performance). Please note that basing your hardware choices on these specifications alone may not be sufficient to select the most appropriate system for your particular requirements. We recommend reading through our Hardware Guide in order to understand how WYSIWYG utilizes hardware, and what else might be required in order to achieve adequate performance.
GENERAL HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
The following apply to all “performance levels” when using WYSIWYG; please see below for more specific requirements.
- Processor (CPU): Intel Core Ultra Arrow Lake series, or AMD Ryzen 9000 series, or any Apple M processor; the higher the model number, the better it will perform
- Memory (RAM): 16GB or more, configured for dual-channel operation
- Video Card: NVidia RTX 4000 or RTX 5000 series, or AMD RX 7000 or RX 9000 series with a minimum of 8GB video RAM; IGPs should only be considered for WYSIWYG Core, except those within APPLE M* CPUs, whose performance is adequate; note that a minimum of 10GB video RAM is required for Ultra High real-time visualization (regardless of GPU); as with CPUs, the higher the model number, the higher the performance
- Resolution: 1920 x 1080 or 1920 x 1200 (higher not recommended)
- Storage: 2GB free disk space
- Operating System: Windows 11 64-bit (including ARM Edition for running on Apple Mac systems)
- Internet Connection: required while exiting WYSIWYG with the intent of using it on another device; to continue running beyond 24 hours, WYSIWYG needs to check in with our Cloud Licensing server at least once within this time period
Minimum System Requirements (for visualization or pre-programming of up to about 100 fixtures)
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 3 (or AMD equivalent) or above
- GPU: NVidia RTX 4060 Ti or RTX 5060 Ti (or AMD equivalent) or above
Optimal/Recommended (for visualization/preprogramming of up to about 250 fixtures)
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 (or AMD equivalent) or above
- GPU: NVidia RTX 4070 Ti or RTX 5070 (or AMD equivalent) or above
High Performance (for visualization/preprogramming of more than 250 fixtures)
- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 (or AMD equivalent) or above
- GPU: NVidia RTX 4080 or RTX 5080 (or AMD equivalent) or above
