t’s now possible to make part of a Video Source transparent by applying transparency to a solid color, allowing you to place the live action shot of an artist, pyro effects or anything else, within your wysiwyg model, with it appearing as if the action is taking place “inside” wysiwyg’s virtual environment.
- This can only be used on Surface, Sphere and Cylinder objects. For the video to appear at full brightness, enable these objects’ Light Emission (set Color to white and Intensity to 100%).
- Any colour, including black and white, can be used for keying.
- When working with a video where shadows appear on the background due to poor lighting on the greenscreen/bluescreen, the chroma colour selection should be of a shade approximately half-way between the lightest and darkest shades of that colour. Try a different shade if needed to fine tune.
- Adjust Tolerance and Smoothing by dragging the sliders to just above the point where the chroma colour disappears, or the subject becomes transparent, respectively, then use the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard to make point-by-point adjustments. For this to work, you must have just finished clicking-and-dragging the slider.
