It is now possible to export .vvn files, complete with textures, in the glTF file format.
This option, called GLTF Export, is found in the FILE menu, but it is only enabled while the Drawing Quad tab’s Virtual View pane is active.
When a .glTF file is exported, an accompanying .bin file is created, and any textures that were applied to objects (whether from Vivien’s Texture Library or from Image Sources) are saved as individual .PNG files in the same location as the exported file; as such, the name supplied for the .glTF file is used to create a new folder in the chosen save location, and the .glTF file and all accompanying files are saved therein.
Note that materials and transparency (including textures with Alpha) are currently not supported for export; in addition fixtures cannot be expected to behave as light sources in the application where the resulting .glTF file is opened. Some applications that import .glTF files require both the .glTF file and the associated .bin to be selected in order for the import to process correctly.
