Custom Gobos: Vivien’s Custom Gobo system has been improved. It is now harder to reach the maximum of 12 Custom Gobos within a file because the gobos which have been made available to other files are no longer automatically imported into new files, but must be added via the new option in the Custom Gobo Wizard. In addition, deleting unwanted Custom Gobos is easier.
Save Multiple Renderings at once: The Background Rendering Manager has been updated to allow saving multiple renderings at once by selecting multiple completed render jobs and clicking the Save button; the resulting image file names will be the names of their respective render jobs.
Reduced memory use and file size for DWG/DXF imports: Vivien 2020 supports a nested Library Item structure for Library Items created by importing nested Blocks from DWG/DXF files. While this feature has no exposure to users, its function is to lower memory usage and create smaller files. Note, however, that it does impact Vivien’s Purge command, and it may now be necessary to run the Purge command several times to fully purge unused imported DWG/DXF Library objects, because a lower-level Library Item will remain in use until its top-level Library Item has been delete/purged.
- Vivien can now import (Open/Merge) GL Transmission Format (.gltf) files.
- Fixtures saved within Insertables now insert at the intended coordinates.
- In most cases, Vivien’s menus and other user interface elements should no longer become unresponsive while video is playing; this may still happen when using very complex files.
