CAST Group is happy to announce changes in our product and tech support management teams. Dino Mazza is the new VP of Product Development for all of CAST Group. Dany Tancou is our new wysiwyg and Vivien Product Manager. Darren Powell is our new wysiwyg and Vivien Tech Support Manager.
These are surely some familiar names to users, and we congratulate each of them on their new roles.
A bit of background:
Dino Mazza has just completed his 15th year at CAST Group. During this time, Dino has worn various hats and contributed to many advancements of CAST Group’s software products, primarily in his role as Product Manager. Every project delivers its own unique challenges, but with Dino’s engineering background and problem-solving skills, he’s is always up for the challenge. Being involved at all stages of our software’s development, Dino is the ideal candidate to step into this new role as VP Product, as he has experienced the evolution of wysiwyg, Vivien and BlackTrax at each stage of process. And as our new CONVRG product launches this year, his experience and knowledge of all CAST’s products will be an asset as CAST continues to deliver new tools for the entertainment industry.
Dany Tancou joined CAST Group nearly 17 years ago as Lead Trainer and Program Coordinator, after which he transitioned to Tech Support Manager and then added Assistant Product Manager to his title a few years later. His varied background (graduated from the Theatre Technical Production Program at Ryerson University; worked in the local lighting industry since the mid-90s; ran a computer consulting company for over five years), his thorough knowledge of wysiwyg and of our users’ needs (acquired over years of resolving support issues) make him a natural fit for Product Management.
Before starting at CAST over three years ago, Darren Powell spent a couple years at MTV doing onsite support and training, then he went on to work at the Discovery Channel providing local and international support, on- and off-site. We have loved having him part of our team over the years. Darren has a passion for 3D modelling and animation. He is analytical and finds efficient solutions to problems. Darren is also a great communicator—all good traits to have when it comes to helping users resolve problems.
We at CAST Group work hard to support our users in the best way possible – and you couldn’t be in better hands. Congratulations, Everyone! Good luck in your new roles!
