wysiwyg R38 allows users to create spectacular and multi-sensory experiences as they use digital design that can be securely shared anywhere through most devices
Image Textures with Alpha Transparency
Wysiwyg Release 38 brings supports to Alpha Mapping with PNG images. wysiwyg will identify transparency in images and texture so camera can see through, and even light beams will shine through!
Mirroring truss is now possible in wysiwyg. You can easily mirror all straight, curved and some corner pieces in your assembled truss structure. wysiwyg will provide you with a list of truss pieces that cannot be mirrored so you have to add only the missing pieces.
Texturing Curved Surfaces
Extruded arcs and splines now create a curved surface which can be textured by applying a single image or video source to it.
New Truss Manager
The new Truss Manager is the place to find a list of Truss items inserted into your drawing. There, you can edit Truss properties, including the newly added Truss thickness values for chords and cross-members.
Truss Thickness and Symbol Fill
In addition to the simple truss line representation, truss thickness and symbol fill can be used in two dimensional CAD Wireframe views, and in associated paperwork views.
New Truss Snaps
Truss Snaps have been introduced to help with dimension measurements for Truss width and height. When activated Truss Snaps will show red points at the bounding box corners of a truss item, and will incorporate Truss Thickness, if enabled, which means you can use these snaps to measure from the outer extents of the truss object.
Layer and Scene Database Enhancements
The Layer and Scene Database are very important windows in wysiwyg. The enhancements introduced in R37 were very well received and generated some new ideas. Based on your feedback we have even more enhancements packed in R38.
New Extrude option for 2D primitive objects
New Extrude functionality delivers new options for the 2D primitive objects. Now you can extrude an object with same or different distance or heights in opposite sides, and much more…
New Import Floorplan for Front/Back and Side Views
The Import Floorplan feature has been extended to more views. In addition to the traditional Plan View Floorplan importing, this feature now supports the import and saving of an image or PDF in each of the 3 view directions: Plan, Front/Back Views, and Left/Right Views.
Fixture Fill Update Colors
In Release 37, the Fixture Symbol Fill feature was introduced and by default the fill color is a percentage of the object color. In R38, a new Fill calculation formula is introduced which incorporates both Saturation and Intensity, making the fill color lighter, which is easier to read in print.
Import Fixtures from Spreadsheet Lists
This new import option takes fixture information listed in a Spreadsheet file (CSV, XLS, XLSX) exported from other software and/or lighting consoles, and offers a new import process to help you insert Fixtures into your drawing easily.
