Features and Improvements
NEW DONGLE SECURITY
A new level of security has been introduced into wysiwyg Release 39 that will keep your investment and our investment into wysiwyg protected from non-customers.
SELF-SNAPPING
When drawing a Line or Surface, or a room using the Room Builder tool, you can now snap to self, meaning, all the points you’ve drawn so far will be available for end-point, mid-point and intersection point snaps.
GRID ARRAY TOOLBAR
Since the Grid Array is becoming more popular, we have added a Grid Array button to the Array mini-toolbar, which is available on the Tools toolbar.
ARRAY – USE OBJECT EXTENTS
In the Array dialogs, a new button “Use object extents for interval” has been added which will automatically populate the Array Interval with the dimensions of the selected object.
ALPHA IN IMAGE PREVIEW
With the new features of Alpha Textures and Alpha Beam Shadows in R38 and R39 respectively, we have updated the preview in the Image Manager to display alpha levels.
MIRRORING TEXT LABELS
When mirroring Text Label objects, text appeared backwards, but now the Text Label’s position/rotation, call-outs and arrows will be mirrored across the mirror plane and the text will now face the screen so it is always legible.
SOFTWARE UI TRANSLATIONS
We’ve done extensive background work so wysiwyg can accept new languages. We’ve started adding French, but many more languages are coming soon!
FIXTURE MODE COLUMN – NOW AVAILABLE IN SPREADSHEETS
A new column has been added in the DATA > Spreadsheet tab, which lists a Fixture’s Mode setting. Previously, this information was only available in the Fixture Options column, among other fixture options.
PRINT YOUR IMPORTED FLOOR PLAN IMAGE
Users can import a 2D floor plan image or PDF to use as reference and draw on top of it. It is now possible to print the imported Floorplan with your paperwork. If the floor plan is visible in the CAD Wireframe view, it will also appear in your Layouts and in New Plots.
FIXTURE HIGHLIGHT
Available in the Fixture Selection toolbar and in the DESIGN menu. When enabled, Highlight sets the currently selected fixture(s) to an open beam at 100% full intensity temporarily, without changes to the fixture’s saved settings. Highlight is useful when identifying a single fixture or a small selection of fixtures within a large and complex plot.
INVERT SELECTION FOR OBJECTS AND FIXTURES
A new object selection has been introduced in CAD. From EDIT > Select Special, or press the INV button from the Selection Toolbar, or press CTRL+I to deselect all editable objects currently selected, and consequently select all the other editable objects that were previously not selected.
